Is there any easy way to remember what horse power (or figure out by the numbers) the JD cuts are? 4310, 4110??? Where did they come up with this reasoning? This is not a rip on JD I am serious. I see a number of a machine and can't easily match it to a visual in my head.
Thanks

I remember the 4310/4410 because I was shopping for them, but the hp is not part of the 10 series model numbers. JD has been sending out a bunch of surveys about their model numbering so this may change in the future. ....

I don't think that JD has ever used HP as a part of their model numbers. Growing up, my dad had a '56 50 that had around 37 HP, a '66 3020 that had about 65 HP, and a '76 4230 that had around a 100 HP. I don't think the newer ones follow their HP either. Just something that you need to remember I guess. You could always make a cheat sheet...just far too many model numbers to remember. Now JD actually has repeated some like the 4010...now that is confusing! ....

And don't get the 2210 compact confused with the 2210 Field Cultivator ....

Thanks, glad to see it's not just me. No real big deal I guess but I think I will take the advice and make a cheat sheet that I can bring up for a quick reference
Thanks again
Tom ....

You also need to remember that JD and other manufacturers are selling the same models outside of the US. Anywhere but here (and perhaps our friends to the North) horsepower means squat, it's all kilowatts. So you have even less incentive to include hp in the model number. ....
